Project Chimaera Telum pt 2    The lab was dark, the bulbs burned out long ago. The only light in the room was the blue light of a flame at the bottom of a beaker that was being heated. The table was strewn with broken glass, whole beakers and thousands of test tubes, all filled with different colored substances.
   But the beaker above the flame, was not a clear liquid at all, unlike the others. The black gas swirled around inside the corked bottle. The light of the flame, though strait under it, did not shine through the black mist. Instead, it was as if the gas had swallowed it.

The Now Meaningless Scribles
the pen in my hand
relaxes
my uneasiness contained
at least, for a little while.
the book in my lap
closes
my heart beating
at the same melodic pace
as my excited mind
just two hours,
I tell myself
then I can show it to you
and possibly be compleatly
peaceful
knowing you know how I feel.

But as the hour
comes
my heart races
as I hear your voice
on the other end.
I ask about it
tentatively
waiting for your answer
to if you still want me over
to see you.

But as you answer,
I feel my tender heart
sink
my mind darkening
as I hang up.

A self portrait of myself... obviously. Used a ref photo from my web cam. Took about 3 hours total I think. I like how it turned out.

I'm not the best person at this sort of thing, but lets give it a shot eh.
Its very well made and the attention to detail is great, its easy to tell its based off of the real thing. If I have to put in negatives it would be that it feels a little flat, mostly around were the neck meets the body but that came from when i was looking for something negative to say about this. I don't give out full fives as I feel there is always room for improvement but overall a great self portrait of you Z.
