Slave to One of Kind Heart

Am I dreaming? Was I being sold? Was this Hell coming to get me for my crimes?
The man before the crowd smiles, and I suppress a gasp at his strange sharp like teeth. "Why would you sell such a fine lady as this?"
The man wore finery I had never seen before, not even amongst the crowd of nobles before me, before the stage that I sat upon, in a cage, helpless.
"Why would you show such kind'ness to a foreigner?" The slave dealer asked the man in finery. He had a piece of what looked like wheat in between his ugly lips and being kept in place by rotting, almost brown teeth. "Espe one that has'een branded?"
I lift my arm. Just between my arm pit and my breast was the brand given to the slaves. I turned my head, and began trying to bit it off in a desperate attempt of getting rid of it.
"Hush!" I feel a stabbing pain in my back, and I fall forward on my hands. Sweat covered my body in an instant. Was he going to buy me?
